Senior Pastor of the Church "Word of Faith," Gorskyi Sergei shares his experiences:

“I wasn’t looking for God and did not think that I am a sinner and I’ll go to hell. But the great grace of God brought me toghether with all my family to the Church "Word of Faith" in Minsk, in the summer of 1992. After the ministry, there was a call for to repentance, and I, along with my wife and our 4-months daughter have stepped forward. I did not really understand what happed, but we came again to the next ministry. In the time when the whole Church praise and worship God, I felt God's presence. In that moment, I had a clear understanting that I am a sinner and my life without God is meaningless. This prompted me to sincerely repent of my sins and ask God’s mercy and salvation. Since that time, I have never had a desire to leave God and His church. I decided to follow Jesus for the rest of my life and didn’t even notice how I flowed into the Church life. I began to serve in the group order, was calling for donations and together with my wife, lead the home fellowship group. One day, my pastor, Alexander Sakovich, asked me to preach at a Sunday service, and I was preparing to my first sermon for nearly three months. As time passed, God spoke clearly to me that I should help my pastor, in whatever he asked. In May 1994, Pastor Alexander asked me to be his official assitant. He hired me as a staff member of the Church. At that moment, Pastor Alexander already had a revelation from God about a branch in Chisinau. When I heard about this, I was absolutely sure that neither I nor my wife has anything to do with this. For some reason, Pastor asked where we're going to spend your vacation and proposed us to go to Tiraspol, and then to Chisinau for August and may be September, to help him to strenghten in faith those people who will repent after the evangelisation. My wife and I agreed.

When we arrived in Chisinau, we began to serve. Lack of experience and knowledge made complications in our service, as there were a lot of mistakes and shortcomings. We were dreaming about the day when we get back home in Minsk, in our beloved church, and will plunge again into a familiar environment. But God was speking in our hearts that we have to stay here for some time. For us,  God’s will was more important than physical, mental and spiritual difficulties.”

“We can not belive that we have been facing all that” – remember Pastor Sergei and Irina.

So in 1994, former teachers, young members of the Minsk Church "Word of Faith" Sergey and Irina Gorskyi started their ministry in Chisinau. They traveled only for one-two months to help building the Evangelical Christian Church in Chisinau and didn’t have a hunch that Moldova and Chisinau Church "Word of Faith” will become their home. These years were times of hardship and victories, growth and formation of the Church.

Today, from year to year, the uncompromising Gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed in Moldova. God miraculously operates through preaching and prayers of the pastor, and now also the Bishop of the Churches "Word of Faith" in Moldova, Sergei Gorskyi.

Chisinau church became a center of spiritual renewal in Moldova, excellence and base for  ​​the new Christian Churches of Full Gospel in Moldova and abroad. With the support and invaluable contribution of the Church "Word of Faith" team, the Gospel ofJesus Christ spreads throughout Moldova, bringing salvation, healing and recovery of hundreds and hundreds of people.
